Milford Man Gets Settlement After Mistaken Arrest In Bridgeport
The City of Bridgeport agreed to a $40,000 settlement with a man who was arrested in a case of mistaken identity.
MILFORD, CT — A Milford man received a $40,000 settlement from the City of Bridgeport after he was mistakenly charged with threatening city hall.
A threat was posted to Bridgeport's Facebook page by a profile that went by Ryan Collins, according to the Milford Mirror.
An officer compared the photo of the Facebook profile with one from the National Criminal Information Center for Ryan Collins of Milford and a detective compared it with Collins' driver's license picture.
