Milford Man Punched Police Dog: Police

Milford police say the man also allegedly fought with officers and attempted to flee the scene.

MILFORD, CT - Milford police say on Dec. 6 officers responded to a Cornflower Drive home on a complaint of a domestic violence incident.

Investigation led to the arrest of Nicholas Demayo, 47, of Cornflower Drive, who is accused of engaging in a physical altercation with a juvenile male inside the residence, police said.

While being placed under arrest Demayo attempted to flee his home, which led to Demayo allegedly fighting with the officers, police said.

The situation ended with the deployment of a K-9 unit, which Demayo also allegedly struck during the scuffle, police said.

He is charged with disorderly conduct, interfering/resisting arrest, assault on police personnel and cruelty to animals.

Demayo was held on a $10,000 bond.
