Milford Man So Impaired Fellow Motorists Took His Keys Away, Police Say
New York State Police say the Milford man was driving under the influence of drugs.

A Milford man was allegedly so impaired when he was driving in New York that police say ‘Good Samaritans’ boxed his vehicle in and even took away his keys, police said.
New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Doran M. Talt, 61, of Milford, Conn., for driving while allegedly his ability was impaired by drugs, which is a misdemeanor.
Following an auto accident investigation conducted on the Sprain Brook Parkway, Talt was found to be impaired by drugs, police said.

When troopers arrived at the crash scene, Good Samaritans had prevented Talt from leaving the scene by blocking his vehicle in traffic and taking away his keys, police said. Talt was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, when he was found in possession of heroin.
Talt was arraigned in the Village of Elmsford Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in Lieu of $5,000 Cash bail or $10,000 Bond. Talt’s next court date is on December 10, 2014 in the Village of Elmsford court.
