Milford Man Stole Money from His Grandmother: Police

Milford police say the accused fradulently cashed checks belonging to his grandmother.

Milford, CT - A Milford man is accused of stealing money from his grandmother by fraudulently cashing checks, police said.

Police said on June 20 the Police Department received a complaint of fraudulent cashing of checks from an elderly woman.

Investigation led to the arrest of Michael Monroe, 25, of 282 Meadows End Road, Milford. Monroe is accused of fraudulently cashing $600 worth of personal checks from his grandmothers’ bank account between June 12 and June 17, police said.

Monroe is charged with fifth-degree larceny and third-degree forgery. He was held in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
