Milford Man Who Used Messaging App To Traffic Drugs Sentenced: Feds
A Milford man will serve time in prison for dealing a variety of drugs via an encrypted phone messaging application, prosecutors said.
MILFORD, CT — A Milford man who pleaded guilty to drug dealing charges was sentenced to 3 years in prison, according to a statement from prosecutors.
Wilson Guzman, Jr., 40, will also serve 2 years of supervised release for distributing various drugs on Telegram, an encrypted phone messaging application.
According to prosecutors, a DEA New Haven Task Force investigation found that Guzman advertised various drugs, including fake oxycodone pills containing fentanyl and fake Adderall pills containing methamphetamine, and other drugs, through an encrypted phone messaging application.

He then dealt the drugs to customers in person and through the U.S. mail. Guzman used locations in West Haven and North Haven to store and prepare drugs for distribution, prosecutors said.
Between June and August 2023, investigators made controlled purchases of drugs from Guzman, including more than 1,000 counterfeit pills containing fentanyl, counterfeit Adderall containing methamphetamine, and psilocybin mushrooms.

Guzman was arrested Sept. 6, 2023. Investigators searched his Milford home and the West Haven and North Haven locations and seized various drugs, including methamphetamine pills, Xanax pills, psilocybin mushrooms, and approximately 20 kilograms of marijuana, as well as two "ghost guns," an AR-15 style rifle and a Glock-style Polymer 80 handgun that had no serial numbers.
Guzman has been detained since Sept. 21, 2023, after he continued to use Telegram for drug dealing and his bond was revoked, prosecutors said.
He pleaded guilty to charges May 20.
