Why does your mom rock?
There are no words and there is not enough time to fully explain why my mother is unbelievable. Among the infinite reasons why my mom rocks is the fact that she has always put her daughters, my sister, Becca, and I, first. We had a very average childhood because my parents worked middle class jobs. Despite this, she always tried her hardest to give us girls everything we wanted to make us happy. She would sacrifice getting herself the shoes she needed to give us the crazy gadgets and overpriced clothes and things we wanted.
Most recently, my mother has been faced with many challenging things financially and yet through it all, she has stayed positive. My mom has shown what it is to be a loving and respectable woman. She has maintained a household, regardless of the barriers she’s had to overcome, and strived in a loving marriage for 20+ years. She has taught me to want to do the right thing.
Most importantly, my mom has supported me and loved me unconditionally. Being a teacher has been my life-long dream and today I can proudly say I am a fourth grade teacher. However, there is no way I could have gotten to this point without her. She has been my rock to get to this point. Her positive praise and motivation has pushed me to do my best.
She has been and is available 24 hours a day to help me make difficult decisions or just to tell how my day went. I would call her every day my freshman year of college to tell her whether I got a spot in the garage. I called her after my first day in my own classroom, after my first parent teacher conference and after my last day of school.
