Milford Oyster Festival 2022: What To Know

The Milford Oyster Festival is Saturday, Aug. 20. Here is what to know about parking, shuttles, food and music.

MILFORD, CT —The 48th annual Milford Oyster Festival will take place Saturday, Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Milford.

About 50,000 people attend the event annually, and it's the largest single-day event in Connecticut.

The festival runs from 10 a.m to 6 p.m.

Parking and shuttles

Shuttle buses are located at Jonathan Law High School and the Connecticut Post Mall rear lot. Shuttle service is from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There is also limited preferred parking at 145 High Street and 70 West Main Street for $10.

Handicapped parking and shuttles are available at the Milford Senior Center, Harborside Middle School and the Wasson Field parking lot.

Food and drinks

Local organizations will sell a variety of food, including hot dogs, pulled pork, fried dough and more.

About 30,000 oysters are available as well. They are locally harvested by the Briarpatch Shellfish Company.

Entertainment

Creed lead vocalist and solo artist Scott Stapp will headline this year's concert at the main stage. Foo Fighters tribute band Fooz Fighters will open.

Morgan Skelly and the Old Crows will kick-off main stage music at noon, followed by Fooz Fighters at 2 p.m. and Stapp at 4 p.m.
