Milford Photographer Catherine Fiehn competing for Top Photographer

Catherine Fiehn who is the owner of Catherine Fiehn Photography on New Haven Ave in Milford, CT has made it into the second round of competition for Top Photographer. The final cut is now being judged and 5 photographers will then compete in NYC for a $50,000 prize package from Adorama in NYC.

Bio:

A professional photographer with over twenty years experience, and an eye for detail and an editorial style, Catherine has quickly become one of the North East’s most sought after social event photographers. Ms Fiehn has won International awards for her Commercial portraiture and has been named “Creative Photographer of the Year” twice by the Connecticut Professional Photographer’s Association, and has been awarded the prestigious Gemini Cup for creativity in photography.

She is also the official photographer for the Tri-state pageant, Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut's Outstanding Teen Scholarship Corporation, Miss American Nation, Mrs. Connecticut, NewJersey, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island America Pageants. She is often found among the ranks of photographers at Miss America in Atlantic City Miss USA, Miss Universe and Fashion Week in New York City and her images often grace the pages and covers of publications such as Supermodel's Unlimited, Kid Model Magazine, Child Model Magazine, Teen Model Magazine, Fourpoints, and the Miss America Scholarship Organization's and Miss USA program book. Her images have been recently featured on many TV shows such as and networks such as Wicked Fit, Chopped, Oxygen's Hair Battle and Dr Phil to name a few. She has been recently shooting the former winners of America's Next Top Model, American Idol & The Voice for covers and features in SU Magazine in addition to reality actors from My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding & Lifetime to name a few.

Catherine graduated from Sacred Heart University with a BS in Media Studies/Graphic Design and is a professionally trained as a make up artist. She is a former CT state gymnastics champion and a certified scuba diver.

On a personal note, Catherine loves cinema, travel, diving and just being a mom and personal manager to her actress/model teenage daughter (Mary Kate Malat) and has just started an acting career of her own landing a small spot recently on NBC’s popular Emmy award winning comedy 30 Rock and the IFC improv series Z Rock with Dee Snider and Joan Rivers. She was recently been given a make over on the Nate Berkus Show on NBC & Dr OZ and posed in FIRST for Women Magazine. Catherine resides in Connecticut USA and is the former MS 2000 CT.
