Milford Police Dog Competes in National Event [Video]

Milford K-9 Officer Judge is competing in the 2011 "National Police Dog I Trial" this week with the help of his handler, Patrolman Matt Lima.

Judge and other police dogs from across the country will show off their skills in obedience, suspect search, article search, agility, criminal apprehension and criminal apprehension with gun

"He's on top of his game right now," Lima said of Judge, an 8-year-old German Shepherd.

The Milford team was selected along with four other K-9 teams to represent Connecticut and New York in the national event. It's being hosted by the United States Police Canine Association in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
