Milford Police K-9 Sniffs Out 106 Bags of Crack Cocaine: Police

The accused was given a $300,000 bond.

MILFORD, CT — A Waterbury man is being held in lieu of a $300,000 bond after a Milford Police K-9 "Cedar" alerted to 106 bags of crack cocaine on his body, police said.

The Police Department's Tactical and Narcotics Unit conducted a narcotics investigation on Darrin Parker, 39, of Cook Street in Waterbury, who was believed to be selling crack cocaine in Milford, police said.

On Feb. 24 with the assistance of West Haven Police, Milford detectives located and arrested Parker, police said. Detectives used Milford police trained narcotics detection K-9 "Cedar" to sniff Parker to see if he was hiding narcotics, police said.

Cedar alerted to his upper waist area and midsection of his body, and removed from inside Parker's pants were 106 bags of crack cocaine, police said.

He is charged with three counts of sale of narcotics, four counts of possession of narcotics, and possession with intent to sell. He was given a $300,000 bond.
