Milford Police K9 Helps Sniff Out a Drug Bust

Police say two people were engaged in a crack cocaine transaction.

Milford police K9 “Cedar” helped in the apprehension of two suspects allegedly involved in a drug transaction.

On Saturday, detectives investigated two individuals involved in suspicious activity inside a vehicle with the assistance of Cedar.

Cedar found crack cocaine and related drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, police said. Heather Cullen, 43, of the Boston Post Road, allegedly attempted to destroy additional crack cocaine she had hidden on her person, police said.

Cullen was combative with police, resisted their efforts and provided false information regarding her identity during her arrest, police said.

Eric Manley, 47, of Canton Street in West Haven, was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, police said.

Cullen was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, destruction of evidence, interfering with police, and criminal impersonation. She was held on $5,000 bond.

Manley was charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia and was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford.
