Milford Police Make Arrests for Larceny, Domestic Disputes

Worker Accused of Theft

A worker at the Nuvo Cig Kiosk at the Westfield Shoppingtown/Connecticut Post Mall has been accused of stealing $100 from the cash register, police said.

The worker, identified as Joseph Bergeron, 29, of Middletown, was charged early Tuesday morning on a warrant, according to police.

The arrest warrant stemmed from a June complaint of "an employee theft" at the kiosk at 1201 Boston Post Road, police said.

"Investigation led to the arrest of Bergeron who is accused of taking $100 from the cash register," police said.

The suspect was released on a promise to appear in court, according to police.

Man Charged with Strangulation

A 25-year-old man was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree strangulation after cops got a complaint of a disturbance at 10:25 p.m. Monday, according to police.

The man, identified as Robert Miles of 131 Clark St., stands "accused of throwing an object at and restraining a family member by the neck during an argument," police said.

Miles was released on a promise to appear in court, according to police.

Woman, Teen Charged in Domestic Disturbance

A 40-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were each charged with disorderly conduct after cops got a complaint of a domestic disturbance at 12 Fern St. at 12:55 p.m. Monday, police said.

Charged were Carrie Meshew and Stephen Grinvalsky, who both live at the address, according to police. They are accused of "engaging in a physical altercation with each other," police said.

Each was released on a promise to appear in court, according to police.
