Milford Police: Man Broke Door, Tried to Get Homeowners to Fight

Milford police responded on Labor Day at 2:20 a.m. to a Naugatuck Avenue residence on the complaint of a male who was acting belligerent in the street, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Joseph Skehan, 28, of Norton Street in New Haven, who is accused of breaking a storm door while antagonizing others at the home into a fight, police said.

He is charged with breach of peace, criminal mischief and interfering and resisting arrest.

He is released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on Sept. 29.
