Milford Police Searching for Burglary Suspect, 2 Suspects in Custody: UPDATE
Police say the burglars' car crashed with a police vehicle on I-95 and one suspect is still at large. One officer was injured too.
MILFORD, CT — Milford police are searching for a burglary suspect who fled on foot after being involved in a crash with a police vehicle on Interstate 95 early Wednesday, police said.
Two suspects have been taken into custody. One suspect remains at large. Police spokesman Officer Joseph Dempsey said at 4:45am Milford Police Officers responded to the area of Beaverbrook Road and Naugatuck Avenue on the report of people loading equipment into a van, police said.
Milford has received a large number of residential shed/ garage burglaries in the past two weeks, of similar nature, police said.

Officers responded to the area and observed the van heading south on Naugatuck Avenue towards Bridgeport Avenue, police said. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle on Bridgeport Avenue and the vehicle continued east on Bridgeport Avenue towards Boston Post Road, eventually getting on I-95N at Exit 39, police said.
Shortly after entering the highway the vehicle spun out striking a guard rail and a police vehicle, Dempsey said in a news release. Three occupants then fled the scene on foot.

Two of the occupants were located by Milford Police K-9 Team, Officer Degnan and K-9 Diesel. Kelvin Quintero, 20, and Noel Figueroa-Flores, 20, both of Chapel Street in New Haven were taken into custody, police said.
The third suspect, who is at-large, is described as a White or Hispanic male, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Both Quintero and Figueroa-Flores were treated at a local hospital for injuries suffered from the motor vehicle accident and a K-9 bite to Quintero, police said. The officer in the struck vehicle was also later treated for minor injuries, police said.
Further investigation showed that Quintero has two active warrants for failing to appear
in court out of New Haven and Waterbury; and Figueroa-Flores has one active warrant for failing to appear in court out of Orange.
Quintero and Figueroa- Flores are charged with the following:
Larceny 3rd, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 3rd, Burglary 3rd, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary 3rd, Interfering with Arrest
Quintero is being held on $225,500 bond. Figueroa-Flores is being held on $210,500 bond.
