Milford Resident Becomes Career Goal Scoring Leader For SCSU Women’s Lacrosse
The junior scored three goals in a loss to LeMoyne, ranked third in the nation, to move into sole possession as the Owls' scoring leader.

MILFORD, CT — Milford’s Nicole Healey, a junior on the Southern Connecticut State University women’s lacrosse team, moved into sole possession as the Owls’ career goal-scoring leader over the weekend. Healey scored three goals in the Owls’ 15-7 to LeMoyne, ranked third in the nation, Saturday in Syracuse, New York, to increase her record total to 116 career goals.
The Dolphins scored nine of the first 10 goals of the game and held a 10-2 cushion at halftime. Healey and Emily Johnson (Riverside, Conn.) had first half goals for the Owls (3-11, 1-10 NE-10).
The Owls and Dolphins (14-0, 11-0 NE-10) each scored five second-half goals, with the hosts leading by as many as 11.

Healey scored two second-half goals, while Taylor Portelinha (Woodbridge, Conn.), Carolynn Keal (Southington, Conn.) and Sarah Ciccia (Stratford, Conn.) also scored for the Owls.
