Milford Resident Victim of $22K Theft by Home Health Aide: Police
Police say the accused was a live in home health care aide.

MILFORD, CT - A home health care aide is accused of stealing $22,000 from a checking account of a city resident she was entrusted to provide care for, police said in a news release.
Police said on June 3 officers took custody of Elisia Brett, 31, of Chamberlain Place in Bridgeport, on an arrest warrant.
Brett is accused of assisting in fradulently taking an estimated $22,000 from a checking account she had access to while working as an in-home health care aide from a Milford resident, police said.

Brett is also accused of failing to appear in court on Nov. 3, 2014 stemming from a motor vehicle arrest in Monroe on Sept. 19, 2014.
Brett is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny and second-degree failure to appear.

She was initially given a $50,500 bond.
