Milford Residents Can Help Region Prepare For Natural Disasters
The South Central Regional Council Of Governments is updating its five-year natural disaster mitigation plan.

MILFORD, CT —Milford residents can join regional and local leaders to discuss how to best prepare the area for natural disasters, including hurricanes.
The South Central Regional Council of Governments is hosting a public information meeting Monday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. Residents can learn more about how area governments are preparing for storms, and can also add their own input.
Updates to the plan are required every five years. The updating process started in April, and a final version is expected by January.

The plan can also serve as a floodplain management plan under the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
