Flooding Closes Several Milford Roads

Some roads in Milford are heavily flooded and should be avoided.

MILFORD, CT — Several shoreline areas in Milford are flooded and impassable Friday afternoon.

Milford Point is heavily flooded. Part of New Haven Avenue is blocked off by Sundae House as well.

Drivers should avoid flooded areas or standing water. As little as six inches of water can cause motorists to lose control, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency. People shouldn't walk into floodwater because it can be full of chemicals and debris.
