Milford’s Purchase Of Former School Gains Zoning Board Approval
The Milford Planning and Zoning Board recently approved plans for the city to buy the former St. Gabriel School property.
MILFORD, CT — The Milford Board of Alderman will consider the city’s purchase of the former St. Gabriel School next week after the deal recently gained the approval of the Planning and Zoning Board, according to the New Haven Register.
The Register reports the Planning and Zoning Board unanimously approved the city buying the property on Tudor Road for $2.3 million.
Residents in the area have expressed concerns about outside development of the property. Developer Robert Smith Jr. announced last July that his company was dropping plans to redevelop the property into a 175-unit multi-family development project.
