"The company will intensify its focus on the hardest-hit communities today which have the highest number of remaining outages," UI said. "Damage in these areas is extensive, causing restoration efforts that involve rebuilding the electric distribution system in some locations. In total, there are approximately 860 separate outage-causing events remaining for crews to address across UI’s service territory, many of which need to be individually restored."
“We thank our customers for their continued patience as we enter the final stage of our restoration efforts,” said Tony Marone, UI’s President and CEO. “Our priority remains restoring service to our customers as safely and quickly as possible.”
