MILFORD, CT — The city is holding an event to welcome new residents this week.

"Approximately 30 years ago, we had a group that would welcome new families and residents and provide them with a packet of recommendations for places to eat and visit," a statement from Mayor Tony Giannattasio's office reads.

"Next Thursday, May 15, we are reinvigorating the group and hosting a welcome networking event for all new residents at 5:30 pm at Lisman Landing. We will have several groups and organizations present, including the United Way, Boys and Girls Club of Milford, Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Milford Senior Center, as well as the Mayor and other city officials."
