Milford Woman Charged With DUI After Crashing Her Car Into a Rock Wall in Orange

Orange police say the woman admitted she was looking at her cell phone at the time of the accident.

Police say they recently responded to a one-vehicle car accident on Hitching Post Road.

Officers found Judith Byrnes’ vehicle sitting on top of a rock wall lining the front lawn of one of the residences on the street, police said.

Byrnes, 48, of Cherry Street in Milford, admitted she had been looking at her cell phone when she crashed, police said.

Officers had her submit to standardized roadside sobriety tests. She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with DUI and a cell phone violation.
