Police: Mom Sleeps, Child Wanders

A 24-year-old Milford woman is under arrest after her 4-year-old daughter was found wandering alone outside, according to police.

Alexandra Howard, of 135 Seaflower Rd., has been charged with risk of injury after police received a complaint of a child found in the backyard of a residence on that street.

Investigation revealed that the child had walked out of her residence after her mother fell asleep. She was found wandering in the yard of a nearby home.
