Milford Woman Strikes Police Officer with Her Purse: Police
Police say she's been charged with assault for the incident.
MILFORD, CT — Police said a Milford woman is accused of hitting a police officer in the face with her purse.
Police said on Dec. 13 officers took custody of Ashley Kirkland, 22, of Monroe Street, on an active arrest warrant for her arrest.
Kirkland is accused of striking an officer in the face with her purse on Nov. 18, police said, when officers were attempting to speak with her regarding an incident with a family member.

She is charged with assault on police and interfering/resisting arrest. She was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan. 10.
