
Milford resident John Maziarz, who has volunteered in over 60 classes for Junior Achievement of Southwest New England during the past 20 years, will be a featured speaker at the 4th Annual New Haven area Partners in Achievement Breakfast.
The breakfast, to support the financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship programs of Junior Achievement, will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the New Haven Lawn Club. The breakfast begins at 7:15; the program at 8:00 a.m.
The popular event brings together business leaders from throughout the region along with students and volunteers highlighting their personal JA experiences.

Maziarz is a Commercial Account Manager for Southern Connecticut Gas, responsible for a service area that includes Branford, Clinton, East Haven, Hamden, Greenwich, Guilford, Madison, North Branford, North Haven, Old Saybrook and Westbrook. He has been a consistent volunteer for JA for two decades, teaching the JA curriculum to foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, using experiential learning to inspire students to continue their education and reach their potential.
JA’s Partners in Achievement breakfast is a fundraising event that supports JA’s financial education programs in the schools. Though the breakfast is free to attend, guests will be asked to make a financial contribution. The annual event has become one of New Haven’s best opportunities to network with the region’s business leaders and to be inspired by students, educators and volunteers who have all experienced JA programs.
