Milford's Kingdom Life Church Offers Live Service But Only Online
Each week 2,000 people attend the Sunday church service but not this weekend due to ongoing coronavirus concerns.

MILFORD, CT — As the new coronavirus continues to cause concern throughout the world including here at home its impacts are being felt everywhere, including religious organizations.
One of the largest churches in the region, Kingdom Life Christian Church located at 1455 Naugatuck Ave., is among many being impacted by the virus. Each weekend 1,000 people attend services but that won't be possible this weekend as ongoing coronavirus concerns led the church to adopt an online only service on Sunday.
Pastor Michael Bulkley said Gov. Ned Lamont's public health emergency on assemblies of 250 people allowed an exemption for religious or spiritual gatherings.

"...we as church leadership have determined that the best thing we can do right now is to act in accordance with this request."
The church will have a live service but for online viewing only at 10 a.m. You can watch the church service here.

"We have canceled or postponed all events, including suspending the launch of the Life Groups, for the next month or until such a time as we feel the environment is safe," Bulkley said, while adding the gym will open 7:30 p.m. Tuesday for prayer and there will be hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes. The Wednesday night Bible study is also still on for next week as of now but that too can change. (To sign up for Milford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Church leaders are urging folks to do what they can to assist the local community.
"While the church has canceled all events there is a HUGE need in the community as the Red Cross has seen 60 of their blood drives canceled across CT. We are NOT canceling the blood drive at the Youth Center scheduled for 3/28 at 8am. The Red Cross will have extraordinary precautions in place to keep folks safe but in a time like this donations are desperately needed and we can assist. We are further exploring the possibility of picking up additional dates that have been canceled by other organizations and will let you know," Bulkley said.
