Mother Injured in Accident in Milford Receives $52,000

The accident occurred on the Post Road in Milford.

An accident in Milford has led to a $52,000 settlement award.

The Connecticut Law Tribune reports that on Sept. 19, 2013, Irene Foss, 49, was driving on Route 1 when she slowed for a traffic light, but she was struck behind by Eric Defeo, 27.

Defeo said he wanted to make the light and had accelerated into Foss’ vehicle, the Law Tribune reports.

Foss was briefly hospitalized, suffered a concussion from the accident, suffered bulging discs in her back and is considered 5 percent permanent partial disability now.

Foss, who had served as her daughter’s cheerleading coach is no longer able to do that, and is less active overall.
