Motorcyclist Dies In Crash With Truck On I-95 In Milford: Police
Police said the truck driver failed a sobriety test and was charged with driving under the influence following the Friday night crash.

MILFORD, CT — A West Haven man died Friday night when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by a truck towing a trailer on Interstate 95 in Milford. Following the crash, the driver of the truck was charged with operating while intoxicated, according to state police.
The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. near Exit 39A on northbound I-95, Connecticut State Police said in a report. Victor Forbes, 34, was traveling in the far left lane when the truck driver — identified as Bilbraut Caraballo, 42, of Middlefield — drifted from the center to the left lane and struck the motorcycle, according to police.
Authorities said the impact caused the motorcycle to collide with the concrete median. Forbes died at the scene, police said.

According to authorities, Caraballo showed signs of impairment and failed a field sobriety test given at the scene of the crash.
Caraballo was arrested and charged with operating under the influence and failure to maintain the proper lane, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on Oct. 12.
