The owners said last year that they had to "overcome several setbacks both financial and otherwise on this project and to date we have invested upwards of $1 million."
Fire Engine Pizza Co. currently operates locations in Bridgeport and Shelton.
The pizzerias offer a variety of creative pies, including gluten-free options. The website for the Bridgeport location boasts "a homemade mozzarella wedge that's unlike any others around - oozing with fresh mozzarella cheese, roasted red peppers, basil, garlic, and spinach as well as entrees that have quickly become the talk of the town including Carmine's Eggplant, Rigatoni Tuscana, and Sunday at Carmela's just to name a few."
On their Facebook page, Fire Engine Pizza is advertising for a hostess position at the Milford restaurant.
