New Details On An Ugly, Stormy Weather Forecast For CT

Here are new details on when we might see thunderstorms over the next several days and a reminder to keep your umbrella close this weekend.

CONNECTICUT — If you have outdoor plans in Connecticut for the next several days well here is a big dose of bad news for you. It appears rain moves into the state this afternoon and will be right with us through the entire weekend off-and-on. We may see thunderstorms develop this afternoon in certain locations too.

Sunday looks like the worst weather day as rain is forecast for the whole day. Friday night appears to be unsettled with some thunderstorms expected too.

Friday and Saturday don't appear to be washouts but like last weekend we will have to be ready to dodge the occasional raindrops. And it definitely won't feel like spring as temps will not even hit 60 degrees on Sunday.

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons says, "A very changeable weather day today! Some areas that see a little bit of sun will be much warmer than areas that stay cloudy. The temperature range could be from the 50s all the way to the low 70s across Connecticut. Warmest in western Connecticut! Also, have your umbrella for some afternoon showers and thunderstorms! Chilly temperatures tomorrow with 50s & mostly dry. I am expecting Saturday to be dry followed by rain for the day on Sunday."
