New Mediterranean, Tapas Restaurant To Open In Milford
A restaurant with two other locations in Connecticut will open in Milford this month.
MILFORD, CT — Bistro Mediterranean and Tapas Bar will be the latest addition to the Milford restaurant scene, opening a Bridgeport Avenue location this month.
Bistro Mediterranean has existing locations in East Haven and Westbrook. The East Haven location opened 15 years ago, and the Westbrook restaurant has been open for 11 years.
Leo Carreno said the restaurant is a family business he and his brothers own. He chose the Milford location when the property's landlord called and suggested the 1016 Bridgeport Ave. space as a possible location.

Bistro Mediterranean offers "a variety of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, as well as tapas plates perfect for sharing with friends," according to its website. The menu includes a range of appetizers, salads, and entrees like lobster ravioli, seafood paella, and pork tenderloin.
Carreno also highlighted Bistro's extensive selection of wines from Spain, Italy, Chile, Argentina, California, and more.
The restaurant's East Haven location has earned a 4.5-star average rating on both Trip Advisor and Google.
Carreno said he wants Bistro to be a place where diners can "have a nice interaction with your family and friends." He said the previous restaurant using the space had many TVs, but Bistro will only have two screens.
Hours are listed as Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
