"I’m filled with gratitude," Breton said on social media. "I’ve had a great run here, thanks to you. We’ve weathered many storms together, from the five tornadoes on July 1, 2017, to the destructive fall wind storms, and dozens of snow events. I gave it my all every day. I tried my best to get it right for all corners of this big state, and explain science in a way you could understand. It’s been an honor.

"There are so many talented, good people I’ve worked with here. I’ll miss our weather team, especially the friendly debates over snowstorm forecasts. I won’t miss waking up at 3AM, but I will miss the morning crew. It will be weird working a snowstorm without the Storm Center music in my ear! I’ll be back (a lot) to visit. We still have a few weeks left together. My last day on the air is November 8."
