New Waterfront Brewery Making 'Big Progress' Toward Opening

MILFORD, CT — It's getting closer. The waterfront brewery that Milford residents and beyond are eagerly anticipating continues to eye an opening in time for St. Patrick's Day, which is March 17.

If Dockside Brewery, LLC continues on this trek then we are less than five weeks away from its opening.

"We're making significant progress and plan to be open in time for St. Patrick's Day. We'll keep you posted. Please stay tuned on this page for more info. Thanks for your interest. Cheers!," the owners said on their social media page last month.

On Monday, they wrote this, "We’re making big progress! Can’t wait for you all to come see it." They posted several pictures which you can view here including a gorgeous bar-top, which several folks have commented on.

They also posted that they have several jobs available and are looking to fill them. For more details on the available jobs, click here.

If you're not yet familiar with Dockside Brewery here is what you need to know. Dockside Brewery is a picturesque 4,200 square foot, waterfront brewpub on the Housatonic River. The brewery will feature ample parking, an in-house brewing system feeding more than 40 beer taps, a large biergarten overlooking the river, complete with outside bar and gaming area, and an attached marina with more than 60 slips.

It's located at 40 Bridgeport Avenue. They recently announced the hiring of Andy Schwartz as brewmaster. Schwartz brings more than 25 years of brewing experience with him to Dockside Brewery, most recently serving as founding brewmaster for Connecticut-based Stony Creek Brewery.
