This information was provided by the Milford Police Department.

A 22-year-old Milford man was busted earlier this week for allegedly making off with two cartons of cigarettes from a local gas station even after his credit card was denied, police said.

The man, identified as James Edwards, 22, of 115 Pond Point Ave., was busted about 12:30 p.m. Dec. 5 in connection with an Oct. 6 incident at the Shell gas station at 190 Woodmont Road, according to police.

"Investigation revealed that Edwards made an attempt to pay for two cartons of cigarettes with a credit card," police said in a press release.
