No Headlights, Driving the Wrong Way and Drunk Leads To Arrest, Milford Police Say

Milford police say the woman was driving the wrong way on a one-way section of River Street.

Milford police say Michelle Roman, 32, of Sheridan Street in Bridgeport, is accused of driving the wrong way on a one-way section of River Street, while allegedly intoxicated.

Police said around 1 a.m. Sunday an officer saw a vehicle traveling with no headlights illuminated and driving the wrong way on the one-way section of River Street.

During a vehicle stop, police found that Roman was driving while under the influence of alcohol. Subsequent to her arrest, a Breathalyzer test revealed that Roman had an elevated blood alcohol level, police said.

She was charged with DUI, failure to illuminate headlamps, and traveling the wrong way on a one-way street. She was released after posting $500 bond.
