Numerous Delays, Accidents: CT Thanksgiving 2021 Travel Update

CONNECTICUT — As some Connecticut residents are getting a jump on their holiday travel plans Wednesday afternoon and evening, the roads looks to be a nightmare already with numerous delays and accidents on the state's major interstates.

Here are the 8 p.m. details via the CT DOT. This will be the final update tonight.

MERIDEN - Delays. I-91 Southbound is congested between Exits 19 and 17 (1.2 miles). Reported Wednesday, November 24 at 6:29 pm.

MERIDEN - Crash (2 Vehicle) on I-91 Southbound between Exits 19 and 18. The right lane is closed. Reported Wednesday, November 24 at 7:31 pm.

REDDING - RT 107 Is CLOSED at RT 53, because of Crash (Car VS Pole). Reported Wednesday, November 24 at 2:12 pm.

NEW BRITAIN - Crash (2 Vehicle) on RT72 Eastbound between Exits 4 and 7. The left and center lanes are closed. Reported Wednesday, November 24 at 7:04 pm.

Hospitalizations rose by 18 beds overnight. Three hundred patients in CT are currently hospitalized with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19.>>>Read More.
