Obituary for Anneliese Clark of Milford

Beloved Wife and Mother

Anneliese Lucie Clark, 93, of Milford, Connecticut passed away peacefully on June 7,
2025.

Born in Lobenstein, East Germany in 1931, Anneliese demonstrated remarkable

Ella, faced the challenges ahead with courage and determination.
In 1954, Anneliese met Joseph C. Clark when he was stationed in Germany for the US
Army. They married in 1958, beginning a devoted partnership that lasted 67 years until
her passing.

Anneliese is survived by her husband, Joseph, and their children: Peter Clark, his wife
Kira and their son Matthew; Gary Clark and his partner Joanne Follo; Heidi Clark and
her wife Barbara Menard and their daughter Anna; and Kevin Clark and his husband
Randy Voytas.

The same strength that carried her through wartime hardships blossomed into a life of
creativity and nurturing. Anneliese was known for her exceptional gardening skills,
particularly her mastery of Four o'clock plants, which she propagated into enormous,
multi-colored displays. She was an accomplished needle pointer and crocheter, creating
beautiful Afghan blankets and her most treasured works - the Easter crocheted rabbits,
chicks, and roosters that became beloved family traditions. Anneliese was also really known
for her love of watching figure skating and gymnastics.

Anneliese will be remembered as a kind soul, devoted mother, and a woman whose
resilience and strength created a foundation of love for all who knew her.
