Obituary: Jean McNamara Flanagan, 92, of Milford
Jean, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, worked for Prudential in New Jersey in her younger years.
MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Jean McNamara Flanagan, 92, of Milford, loving wife of the late John “Jack” J. Flanagan, Jr., passed away peacefully on December 11, 2020.
Jean was born on September 1, 1928, in Kearny, NJ; she was the daughter of the late James and Isabella (Chrystal) McNamara.
Jean graduated from Saint Cecilia High School, Kearny, NJ. She went on to work at Prudential, Newark, NJ before marrying Jack and starting their family.

Jean is survived by her children, Patricia Flanagan, Judith Ianniello, Michael Flanagan and his wife Terri, and Susan Gorman; her grandchildren, Jaclyn, Ryan (Amanda), Vincent (Rachelle), Seana Jeane, Patrick and Katherine (Douglas); her great grandchildren Kayli, Alexis, Caleb, Riley and Holly; her brother John “Jack” McNamara; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers James, George and David McNamara.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Masonicare Health Center for their compassion and kindness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 11am at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish) 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or Masonicare Annual Appeal, P.O. Box 70 Wallingford, CT 06492 or at masonicare.org.
