Obituary: Maria Linda King, 72, Of Milford

MILFORD, CT — Maria Linda King of Milford, CT passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024 at Milford Hospital at the age of 72. Born in Bronx, New York on September 19, 1951, she was a beloved daughter of the late Philip and Ena Spadaro. Maria will be deeply missed by her four children: Kevin, Katie and Michael King all of Milford, and Kerry Brennan of Virginia; her four grandchildren: Richard III and Alena Brennan, Gianna Montreuil, and Michael King Jr.; her brother: Frank Spadaro and his wife JoAnn of Brooklyn, NY; father of her children: Kevin King; in-laws: Richard Brennan, Amanda Dacruz, Bosco Miranda, Edward and Julie King along with many nieces and nephews and her fur baby, Nala. In addition to her parents, Maria is also predeceased by her brother, Philip Spadaro and sister-in-law, Kathleen Miranda.

Maria received her master’s degree in physical therapy from Hunter College. She worked closely with special needs children throughout her career. She worked for Dr. William Lewis and Dr. Allen Schlein at Orthopedic Surgery Centers. Aside from spending her days as a physical therapist, Maria busied herself as a healer practicing reiki, hypnosis, and making aromatherapy products. She enjoyed attending church gatherings and sang in the choir for 25 years at St. Ann’s and St. Catherine of Siena. Maria spent time hand stitching pillows and creating homemade clocks. She also enjoyed reading and participated in a book club for 16 years. But above all, Maria’s favorite pastime was spending time with loved ones, enjoying making homemade play dough and baking cookies with her grandchildren. Maria Linda and her contagious laugh will be missed by all.
