Robert J. Floyd, 83, of Guilford passed away on August 7, 2026 at the West Haven VA Medical Center. Beloved father of Dianna (Edwin Perry) Floyd of Guilford. Loving grandfather of Jackson, Wyatt and Nathan Perry. Robert was born in New Haven on September 14, 1942 son of the late Ben and Frances Gainty Floyd. Prior to his retirement, Robert proudly worked for Metro-North Railroad, where he served as a foreman in the M-2 Shop. He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
