Obituary: Shirley L. Weaver, 93, Of Milford

MILFORD, CT — Shirley L. Weaver, age 93, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1st 2024. Shirley was born in Bridgeport on September 27, 1930, to the late Albert and Bessie Gergely Weaver. She worked in the payroll department of Remmington Arms for many years.

Survivors include her three siblings, Albert R. Weaver Jr. (June) of Fairfield, Marilyn Eggers of Fairfield, Robert E. Weaver (Eileen) of Stratford, brothers-in-law, Robert Harrington and retired Colonel Robert E. Akins and sister-in-law, Paula Weaver and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Shirley is predeceased by her sisters, Ruth Akins and Barbara Harrington and brother Kenneth J, Weaver.

Family and friends may call on Friday, April 5th from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Gabriel Church (Saint Raphael Parish) and interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
