Owl Dies After Being Injured in Downtown Milford
The owl suffered wounds to its chest and stomach and a rehab facility tried to treat the injured animal.

Update: The Great Horned Owl that was found bleeding in downtown Milford earlier this week has died, said Police spokesman Sgt. Jeffrey Nielsen on Thursday.
He said “A Place Called Hope,” which is a Raptor Rehab tried to care for the injured owl but it did die from its wounds. Tests are being ordered to see exactly how the owl died.
On Monday, Bill Canfield wrote on Facebook that the owl was found bleeding from the chest and stomach area near the North Street Duck Pond and that the area was blocked off. Many people had gathered around the area to see what was occurring.
