Pantochino Teen Theatre Now Registering for "Urinetown, the Musical"
The acclaimed Teen Theatre company is registering young actors 13-18yo for its immersive program in January/February 20207.

Pantochino Productions Inc., Milford’s ridiculously entertaining not for profit theatre company is now registering young actors for its Teen Theatre production of “Urinetown, The Musical.” The immersive program for 13 to 18 year olds takes place in January and February of 2027.
“Urinetown, The Musical” (music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann and book by Greg Kotis) is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year draught, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Inspired by the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, “Urinetown, The Musical” is an irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny. Praised for reinvigorating the very notion of what a musical could be, the show catapults the comedic romp into the new millennium with its outrageous perspective, wickedly modern wit, and sustained ability to produce gales of unbridled laughter.
The acclaimed Pantochino Teen Theatre meets eight Saturdays (and two Sundays) from January 9 to February 20 at thier studio space in the Connecticut Post Mall with performances Februrary 26-28 at Milford Arts Council, the MAC. Young actors learn and rehease the musical with professional directors, choreographers and designers on an accelerated schedule. The program is limited to thirty participants and registration is on a first come first served basis. More information and registration is available online at pantochino.com
