Parking Space Dispute Leads to Punch In The Face: Milford Police

Police say the man punched the victim in the face over a parking space dispute.

MILFORD, CT — A Stratford man is accused of punching a man in the face after a verbal dispute escalated over a parking space, police said.

Police said on Feb. 26 officers took custody of Raymond O'Connell, 35, of Victoria Lane, in regards to an active warrant for his arrest. O'Connell is accused of engaging in a physical altercation with a male on Oct. 17, 2016 in the parking lot of 2 Schooner Lane over a parking space, police said.

A witness to the incident claims O'Connell walked up the vehicle window and began punching the victim in the face and also caused damage to the vehicle, police said.

He is charged with third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, and second-degree criminal mischief. He was given a court date of March 21.
