Patricia A. Kurowski

Patricia Anne Kurowski, age 80, of Stratford, died surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Pat was born in Bridgeport on March 17, 1945 to the late Joseph and Grace Kish Collins. She was a dedicated 7th and 8th grade Science teacher for many years in the Stratford school system.

Pat loved to garden, tending several raised beds of vegetables and flowers at her home and was a prolific reader. She took great joy in sharing books with family and friends. She was an avid fan of the junior Drum and Bugle Corps, spending her summers following Carolina Crown across the East Coast and serving for many years in the Connecticut Hurricanes Senior Corps honor guard, where she made many life long memories and friends.

She was a devoted cat owner and preferred to adopt senior cats from the shelter to give them a loving home for their sunset years.

She will be greatly missed by her family and many dear friends. Survivors include her brother and best friend, Michael J. Collins and his wife Janet of Stratford, cherished niece, Katherine Collins of Maine, daughter in law, Jennifer Kurowski, nine grandchildren, Michael Kurowski, Christopher Kurowski, Alyssa Kurowski, Makkala Smith, Taylor Frattalone, Arianna Frattalone, Emma Kurowski, Ryan Kurowski, and Ethan Kurowski and five great-grandchildren, Lily, Ashley, Henry, Maxwell and Elias. Pat is predeceased by her beloved son, Scott Kurowski.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Ann Church, 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford. Friends may greet the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Michael Cemetery, Bridgeport.
