Pedestrian Suffers Possible Life-Threatening Injuries After Hit-and-Run Accident in Milford: Police

Milford police are asking for help in finding the offending vehicle, which fled the scene.

MILFORD, CT — The Milford Police Department is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday at approximately 10:45 p.m. in the area of Bridgeport Avenue and Woodland Avenue, police said.

The Milford Police Department Traffic Division was called to investigate a serious motor vehicle accident with possible life-threatening injuries, police said Monday afternoon.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a dark colored sedan was traveling eastbound on Bridgeport Avenue and struck a pedestrian and the vehicle the pedestrian was attempting to get into, police said.

A witness on scene gave statements indicating that after the accident occurred the dark colored sedan fled the scene Eastbound, police said. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, police said.

The offending vehicle, a dark colored sedan would have damage to its right front head light, bumper, right fender, and missing its passenger side right mirror, police said.
