Police: 2 People Shot in Downtown Milford
One person has serious injuries and the other non-life-threatening injuries.

Milford police say two people were hospitalized early Sunday morning after gunfire was exchanged in the area of the parking garage at 1 New Haven Avenue.
Police said the incident began at 1:32 a.m. at the parking garage, which is where people often park when they are going to spend an evening downtown.
Police spokesman Sgt. Jeffrey Nielsen said investigation revealed that the disturbance involved a group of people in the area.

Two individuals were transported to a local hospital as a result of firearms being discharged during the disturbance, Nielsen said.
The two injured individuals are adult males, one suffered serious injuries and the other non-life threatening injuries.

Police recovered two firearms at the crime scene and are continuing this investigation as to the cause and extent of the incident.
