Police Dog Tracks Down Domestic Violence Suspect In Woods: Milford PD

MILFORD, CT — A police dog helped in tracking down a man wanted in a domestic violence case.

Police responded at 5:15 p.m. Thursday on a report of a domestic violence incident in progress.

A man had entered a victim's garage and was rummaging through items. The victim had a full no-contact order against the man. There was also an additional domestic violence warrant out for the man's arrest.

Police made contact with the victim who said that the man had left prior to police arriving.

Police set up a perimeter and a K9 conducted a search.

K9 Rip found the man in the woods. He was taken into custody and held on $20,000 bond.

The man was later taken to Milford Superior Court.

The man was charged with violating conditions of release. He was also charged by warrant with disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening.
