Police: Drunk Milford Man Jumps on Cars, Hits Police Officer With a Car Battery, Head-Butts EMT
The alleged incident happened on Spring Street late Saturday, police said on Monday.

Milford police say a drunk Milford man was jumping on parked cars in the area of Spring Street Saturday night, and what ensued once police arrived is complete chaos and almost hard to fathom.
Police say one of the men began to hit an officer with a car door, threw a car battery and other objects at a police officer, and then an EMT was head-butted and kicked by one of the suspects.

At 11:48 p.m. on Saturday police received a complaint of an intoxicated person jumping on parked cars in the Spring Street area and possibly damaging them.
During the investigation, Michael and Anthony Assad, of Spring Street, became combative with police during the incident.

Michael is accused of striking an officer with a door, hitting another officer in the face, and throwing a car battery and other objects at the officers.
As Anthony fled from the area, he refused to comply with the officer’s efforts and was taken into custody.
Michael head-butted and kicked an EMT during treatment for self-inflicted injuries he sustained while damaging a window at the residence.
Michael Assad, 23, and Anthony Assad, 24, were each charged with second-degree breach of peace and interfering with police. Michael Assad was also charged with two counts of assault on emergency personnel.
Michael Assad was held on $100,000 bond while Anthony Assad was released on a promise to appear.
