Popular Milford Restaurant Closes Abruptly

MILFORD, CT — A popular Milford downtown restaurant announced in a short post on social media that today would be its last day in business. Fonda La Paloma Milford said, "Thank you Milford and others, For the love and support, These last 3yrs, We are closing our doors for good today, Thank you"

Fans of the restaurant were obviously disappointed in the news saying, "Very sad to hear! Best of luck going forward Carlos and Charlie. Let me know if you open a new spot."

"Oh that is heartbreaking! I wish you well in the future, please let me know if you open another location! Good luck Carlos and Charlie!"

"So sorry we love you guys. Best of luck!"

The eatery is located at 1 Schooner Ln #1A in downtown Milford and specialized in Mexican cuisine.

According to its Facebook page, "Originally located in Greenwich, CT (cos cob) we were proudly serving from 1968- 2013. We are now open and located in Milford. Come try our food and drinks."

The restaurant received stellar reviews and one person wrote, "Great service, beautiful place and excellent food. I'm so happy to have a Mexican restaurant in the Center. Dreaming of margaritas on the patio this summer. They actually host weddings there too. Great place for a party."

The restaurant's website has already been taken down.
